PHASE
Privacy policy · last updated 17 October 2026
Phase is a small game made by two people. There are no accounts and no ads, and nothing is sold or shared with
advertisers.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress, settings and a random player id (a string of letters and numbers, not tied to you), in your
browser's local storage. Clearing your site data erases them.
What it sends to our server
- Your random player id, so your runs and leaderboard place stay together.
- Runs: score, level, how long it took, where and how you died. We use this to tune the levels.
- Visits: what you were doing when you left (menu, playing, ...), the game version, a coarse description
of the device (for example "iOS 18 · Safari 18 · 390x844"), whether it's a phone, tablet or
computer, and the name of the site that linked you here, if any. Not your full browser details.
- The name you choose for the leaderboard, if you set one. It's shown publicly.
- Feedback you send from the game: your message, your email only if you give it (so we can reply), and the
game version, device description and how far you've got, so we can follow up on bugs.
We don't collect your real name, contacts or location, or your email unless you add it to feedback. Like any website, our host (Microsoft Azure) may
briefly keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses.
Who sees it
Only us, to make the game better. Leaderboard names and scores are public.
Deleting your data
Email privacy@playphase.app with your leaderboard name (or the device
and roughly when you played) and we'll delete everything tied to it.
Feedback
Use Feedback under the game's menu, or email hello@playphase.app. We read
everything.
